1st National symposium and Workshop on Rhinoplasty

4th, 5th & 6th April 2008

KKR ENT Hospital & Research Institute (P) Ltd., will hold its First National Workshop & Symposium on Rhinoplasty between the 4th & 6th April 2008. The course will consists of lectures, panel discussions, video demonstrations and live surgeries. It will cover basics as well as advanced techniques in Rhinoplasty.
Prof. DH Jung from South Korea will be the Chief Faculty for this workshop. The operations conducted during this workshop will be at concessional rates for deserving patients. 
Prof. K.K. Ramalingam, Prof. Ravi Ramalingam and Dr. Sreenivasa Murthy T.M, of KKR ENT Hospital & Research Institute will be the Course Directors.

The KKR ENT Hospital takes immense pleasure in announcing the forthcoming annual national workshop & symposium on FESS.   We are conducting this year’s programme on the 9th, 10th & 11th August 2007.   I take this opportunity to extend my invitation to you to join us in this scientific endeavor.   Dr. Dharambir Singh Sethi from Singapore General Hospital is the invited guest faculty for this workshop.  The other foreign faculty is Prof. Metin Onerci from Turkey

FUNCTIONAL ENDOSCOPIC SINUS SURGERY WORKSHOP - August 11th 2006

In continuation of the hugely successful workshop, the FESS workshop 2006 will be conducted on August 11th to 13th. Leading surgeons in the field of endoscopic sinus surgery will do the surgical demonstration. Proposed demonstrations include Mini FESS, Sphenoid surgery, endoscopic repair of CSF leaks, endoscopic approach to pituitary amongst others. The course will consist of lectures, panel discussions, cadaveric dissection and demonstrations, video demonstrations and live surgeries.

IMPLANTABLE DEVICES IN OTOLOGY, August 7th 2005

A live Surgical Workshop on ‘IMPLANTABLE DEVICES IN OTOLOGY’ was conducted at KKR ENT Hospital on the 7th August 2005 under the guidance of Prof. Ravi Ramalingam. The invited guest faculty was Prof P.P. Singh, Professor and HOD of UCM & GTB Hospital. Apart from Lectures and Orations on Implantable devices in Otology, live surgical demonstrations on Cochlear Implantation and BAHA were carried out.

The BAHA is being performed for the first time in Chennai city of KKR ENT Hospital and Research Institute. About 150 doctors from all over India participated in this programme.

KKR ENT INSTITUTE completed 25th Next Generation Cochlear Implant Surgery

The KKR ENT Hospital has been performed Cochlear Implant (C.I.) Surgery for the last 4 years. The result achieved CI at this institute are extremely good and this Center ranks among the leading CI centers in the country.

The professors at KKR ENT Hospital headed by Dr. Ravi Ramalingam runs the most cost effective and advanced Cochlear Implant professors throughout the country. Various packages are available which makes the Implant affordable to all sections of the society. In addition the KKR ENT Hospital runs a programme to help the patients raise money from various charitable organizations and philanthropists to help them in the process of Cochlear Implantation.

BAHA (Bone Anchored Hearing Aids)

The KKR ENT HOSPITAL has recently conducted a live surgical demonstration on Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA). The BAHA is an Implantable system for the ---- of hearing loss that works through bone conduction. The BAHA is useful for patients who have deformed ears as a birth defect or the complete loss of hearing on one side who came and get benefited from conventional hearing aid. This operation is being performed for the first time in Chennai by Professor K. K. Ramalingam and Dr. Ravi Ramalingam.

ISO CON 2004 ::
13th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Otology13th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Otology held on 19th, 20th, 21stof November 2004 at Chennai. Professor KK Ramalingam was the Organizing Chairman. The invited guest faculty included Dr. Fitzgerald O’Connor (U.K), Dr. Didier Portmann (France), Dr. Luiz Garcia Ibanez (Spain). In addition reputed Otologists from all over the country participated in this interactive conference that included Live Surgical Demonstrations, Orations, lectures, Panel Discussions.

8th Tamil Nadu ENT Conference, ENTER 2004 ::
Was held on 6th November 2004 at Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Professor KK Ramalingam was the invited Guest Faculty.

40th All India Temporal Bone Dissection Course ::
Was conducted at the KKR ENT Hospital on 8th, 9th, 10th October 2004. 16 Delegates from different parts of the country and South East Asia participated in the course and were given hands on training in basic as well as advanced techniques of tympano-mastoid surgery.

4th SAARC ENT Conference ::
Was held from 31st August – 5th September2004 at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conventional Hall, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Dr. Ravi Ramalingam along with Dr. Ahilaswamy N, Dr. Sreenivasa Murthy TM, Dr. Vinod Nadig participated in the conference. Papers were presented during the conference.
