The Chinnammal ENT Medical Education and Research Foundation were started in the year 1989. The aim of this institution was to provide quality care in the field of ENT to the poorer sections of the society on a non-profit basis. Today, this aim has more than been fulfilled. The Chinnammal ENT Hospital today sees more than 13,000 patients on an outpatient basis every year. The hospital is fully equipped with the latest ENT operation facilities, including those for Micro Ear Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Head and Neck surgery performed on a regular basis in the hospital.

The main unit of the foundation is situated in a rural area (NOOMBAL VILLAGE). The other activities of the foundation are education and research in the field of ENT and Head and Neck diseases.
